Letters Blogatory Status Update

You may have had some trouble reading Letters Blogatory this morning. My web hosting provider sent an email informing me that another site hosted on the same server as Letters Blogatory was the target of the dreaded distributed denial of service attack, which cause Letters Blogatory (and a bunch of other sites, too) to crash. I’m told that everything is working again—my apologies for the interruption!

Also, I hope you will bear with me today and tomorrow as I engage in a little online advocacy against the proposed Stop Online Predators Act. This misnamed statute would be poor Internet policy in my view, for the reasons I’ve given in the sidebar on the right of your screen. You can click the link that’s blocking your view of this post for more information.
