Two Developments on the Restatements
Readers, I want to call to your attention two important developments in the Restatements of the Law that will be of interest. I’m not going to comment on these developments here, though I may come back to them in later posts.

Lago Agrio: Chevron’s Brief in Opposition to Cert.
Chevron has filed its brief in opposition to Steven Donziger’s petition for certiorari. Ted Olson and company have, as one would expect, produced a high-quality brief to stand against the similarly high-quality brief submitted by Deepak Gupta.

Case of the Day: National Casualty Co. v. Western Express
The case of the day is National Casualty Co. v. Western Express, Inc. (W.D. Okla. 2017). National Casualty sued Victoria Cardenas, a resident of Mexico.
