Readers, I’m happy to announce that the ABA has recognized Letters Blogatory as one of the 50 best law blogs for 2017. I’m grateful especially to you for your support and in many cases your friendship. I couldn’t do it without you! I would also like to thank my colleagues at Murphy & King for their support of my project. If you don’t know us, you should check us out. I’m especially glad to read some readers’ comments to the ABA, which suggest that the blog is a resource for those of you who, like me, make use of Letters Blogatory in your day-to-day practice.

I’d like to encourage you to check out my sister-blog (in Spanish), Cartas Blogatorias, which is edited by Javier Ochoa and Claudia Madrid. Cartas Blogatorias has been a little slow recently, due mostly to the unsettled situation in Venezuela, but it’s got excellent coverage of Latin American developments.

        I shared your article “Lago Agrio: Payments to Guerra and Fajardo” across my linkedin contacts and obtained 320 additional views. Viewers came from fine law firms in London, New York, DC, Geneva, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. I am co-author of the leading title “International Arbitration in Latin America” published by Kluwer Law International. We are preparing its 2nd edition and the issue of Chevron-Ecuador matters for us. I am also behind other FCPA cases in relation to Obedretch arbitrations in Peru. Kind regards from Madrid.
