As I mentioned about a week ago, I will be participating in a symposium hosted by the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Journal of International Law and the American Society of International Law, Mass Torts in a Shrinking World, on November 2. The symposium is going to feature four panels, and as long as I can avoid any technical glitches (and as long as the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy doesn’t force a cancellation of the event), I will be liveblogging three of them (for obvious reasons, I won’t be liveblogging my own panel). So if you can’t make it to Philadelphia and would like to follow along with me, please check back on November 2. Here is the schedule:
- 10:15 to 11:45. Vulnerability to Suit Amid Changing Doctrines, with Lonny Hoffman, Allen Stein, and James Brogan.
- 12:00 to 1:30. Recognition in a Corrupt World, with Michael Traynor, Neil Popović, and me. This one won’t be liveblogged.
- 2:15 to 3:45. U.S. Courts as Arbiters of Global Human Rights Disputes, with John B. Bellinger III, Vivian Curran, and Roger Alford.
- 4:00 to 5:30. International Search for a Remedy, with Judith Kimerling, Chiara Giorgetti, and Hernán Pérez Loose.
