No kings on Presidents’ Day!

I am working downtown today, getting ready for a summary judgment hearing. The office is pretty quiet. I went out to run a quick errand and on my way back found myself in a march heading from Tremont Street to Boston City Hall. I joined in for a bit. The slogan, which I think is exactly right: “No kings on Presidents’ Day!” (For my readers abroad, today is Presidents’ Day, or Washington’s Birthday). Here is a bit of video so you can see what is happening in Boston today.

Last Wednesday was Lincoln’s birthday, a state holiday in Illinois. I posted in the Fediverse (@Hippasus500) it was a good day to remember Presidents who made this country — and the world — a better place.

    Kudos for joining the march!

I’ve decided that this year, and the next three at least, this will be Not My Presidents’ Day.
