Larry, thanks for your comment. I don&#039;t necessarily disagree with you. I don&#039;t know anything about this zoo. If the zoo is mistreating its animals, that&#039;s what animal welfare laws are for. If the animal welfare laws are inadequate, that&#039;s what legislatures are for. My point was just that the approach to animal welfare that Wise and his group take is absurd, not that we shouldn&#039;t care about animal welfare. Of course we should.]]></description>

Just FYI, Ct. is NOT conducive to an elephants happiness. It gets COLD here! I&#039;m not sure what the conditions of their winter &quot;storage&quot; are, but I&#039;m pretty sure Commerford doesn&#039;t heat a barn to an elephant&#039;s liking. Both he and the elle&#039;s would be better served if the animals went to sanctuary.]]></description>
