Whether the debt was odious debt has nothing to do with what sort of discovery should be available to the judgment creditor—or, for that matter, with whether Judge Griesa’s injunction was proper.

United States of America and Europe governments lent money to dictatorial governments in Latin America, knowing that they were illegitimate governments, absolutist, tortures, murderers … The dictatorship in Argentina killed 30,000 Argentines and committed crimes for which are still being judged by democracy in Argentina … United States of America and Europe are in part accomplices for that. Much of that external debt is illegal, illegitimate and caused much pain to our people. Argentine Democracy should not pay for those crimes.
